Assessment
and Accreditation Fees
On the recommendations of the Executive
Committee(EC) of NAAC, the University Grants Commission(UGC)
has approved the following fee structure.
| For Seeking IEQA Status

Remit a non-refundable Bank Draft of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two thousand only) as application fee, payable to NAAC at Bangalore, along with your Formats
|
| Universities
|
| Upto Four Departments
|
Rs. 75,000 /-
|
| More than four but upto ten departments
|
Rs. 75,000 /- + Rs. 7,500 for each additional department
|
| More than ten depatments
|
Rs. 1,20,000 /- + Rs. 5,000 /- for each additional department
|
| The accreditation fee willl be limited to a maximum amount of Rs. 3 lakhs per institution
|
(UGC provides the necessary accredtitaion fee for universities)
|

| Colleges (Grant-in-aid, Private and Government)

| College with multi faculties i.e., Arts and Science (Commerce will be treated as a part of the Arts)

"UGC Support for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions by the NAAC"
As per the recent decision of the UGC, the universities/college recognized by the UGC, under the 2f and 12B clauses of the UGC Act of 1956, need not pay the accreditation fee.
Financial
support :
In the case of universities, UGC at its meeting held
on July 29, 1997 stated:
" The payment of assessment and accreditation
cost to NAAC, upto a maximum of Rs. 5 lakhs in the case
of large universities, may be accepted as admissible
item for plan grant of the respective universities by
the Commission. The grant for this purpose may be released
to the concerned university." The affiliated and
autonomous colleges can also take the accreditation
fee from their UGC grant.
Mode
of Payment
The
assessment and accreditation fee has to be paid in the
form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Director,
NAAC" payable at Bangalore, which may be sent along
with the letter of intention or Self- Study Report
